I'd like to fit it to a Lagkapten worktop which is 3.4cm thick. Edit: I've just received the Trotten and the gap in the clamp mouth is exactly 3.5cm. It will be supporting a monitor, my macbook, and will be written on. Should I consider something to support the middle or are 4 Adils on the corners enough? Thanks. For something if that length, there is always the possibility of sagging in the middle. I think it’s better to get a 5th leg to support the middle.

they’re the same size. they are both height adjustable. they’re virtually the same material. the BEKANT can support more weight. I’m curious to know what advantage (s) the IDASEN might have. Initial problem was that the plate that attaches to the monitor was stuck and not adjustable. All the hinges were extremely rigid as wells. After full asssembly of the whole arm, I stood on the plate, and moved the monitor arm back and forth all angles and essentially loosened the hinges. Worked just fine after that.

From IKEA website about IDÅSEN has "honeycomb paper filling" so if TROTTEN frame attachment points are too different from IDÅSEN, you may drill into a hollow part and the tabletop won't hold well. I believe honeycomb paper filling is only present for IDÅSEN 120cm & 160cm tops.

Did you cut the Salijan to fit the Trotten base? I think the standard tops are 47 inches long, which is shorter than the Salijan. I did a custom desk based on the BEKANT legs and a Gerton top, which is a wood top. So basically I did the holes my self with security since the Gerton top was made of real wood.
